Cherry Ave. Tucson, AZ. 85706 Mr. Gee, The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business on March 5, 2007. Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2003 International Fire Code (with modifications). A Re-inspection will be performed on or about March 19, 2007 Notice of Violations: 605.5 Extension Cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall be used only with portable appliances. · Attached to wall near the access to the other unit 605.4 Multiplug adapters. Multi-plug adaptors, such as cube adaptors, unfused plug strips or any other device not complying with the ICC Electrical Code shall be prohibited. · Remove all unapproved multi-plug adapters: - Behind the register on the Northwest wall 1008.1.8.3 Locks and latches. Locks and latches shall be permitted to prevent operation of doors where a readily visible durable sign is posted on the egress side on or adjacent to the door stating: THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED. The sign shall be in letters 1 inch (25mm) high on a contrasting background. · Place the approved sign above the main entrance door on the West side of the building. 315.2.1 Ceiling clearance. Storage shall be maintained 2 feet (610 mm) or more below the ceiling in nonsprinklered areas of buildings... · Lower the stock that is stored above the cooler 3003.3 Security. Compressed gas containers, cylinders, tanks and systems shall be secured against accidental dislodgement and against access by unauthorized personnel in accordance with Sections 3003.3.1 through 3003.3.3. · Secure both Compressed gas cylinders 906.2 General requirements. Fire extinguishers shall be selected, installed and maintained in accordance with this section and NFPA 10. · Inspect and maintain fire extinguisher (Last serviced 1997) 906.7 Hangers and brackets. Hand-held portable fire extinguishers, not housed in cabinets, shall be installed on the hangers or brackets supplied. · Extinguishers must be mounted on an approved hanger or bracket. 504.2 Maintenance of exterior doors and openings. Exterior doors and their function shall not be eliminated without prior approval. Exterior doors that have been rendered nonfunctional and that retain a functional door exterior appearance shall have a sign affixed to the exterior side of the door with the words THIS DOOR BLOCKED. The sign shall consist of letters having a principal stroke of not less than 0.75 inch (19.1 mm) wide and at least 6 inches (152 mm) high on a contrasting background. Required fire department access doors shall not be obstructed or eliminated. Exit and exit access doors shall comply with Chapter 10… · Affix a sign stating, "THIS DOOR BLOCKED" on the West door and on the rear door to the business.
