06/27/2007 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT DCOX Approved Called Verma @ Yellow Star Management company and left message at 13:05. I then called the complainant and she described the situation. Apparently the air conditioner in the rental home she occupies began to malfunction on Sunday. Sarah, the tenant, summoned a techincian and it was determined there was a problem with the unit and it would need to be replaced. Verma at the management company was notified and she too dispatched a technician who agreed with the findings of the first technician. The tenant stated that the management company agreed to provide accomodations for one night and did so. Verma of Yellow Star Management returned my call at about 15:00 hours. She stated that the repairs were going to be made as soon as a contractor was available, which may be sometime next week. She stated the tenants were offered accomodations and took advantage for one night and then told here they were going to stay at a relatives home. I explained to Verma the owners obligation to provide accomodations to the tenants and she stated she was not refusing and never had. I then called the tenant back and explained everything to her and advised her to call Verma and make arrangements. Case closed.
