SWAMP COOLER HAS BEEN BLOWING A VERY WEAK CURRENT, LACKS COOL TEMPERATURE, LEAK IN CEILING. HAS HAD MAINTENANCE CHECK OUT COOLER, CLAIMS MANAGER WILL NOT ADDRESS BECAUSE COOLER DOES BLOW AIR. HAS OWN FAN, BUT WAS NOT PROVIDED WITH ANY TEMPORARY COOLER. FAN NOT IN USE DUE TO REPAIRS MADE ON CEILING. 7-6-07 COOLER NOT WORKING AGAIN, BLOWING VERY LITTLE STILL/BURNING SMELL/SHUTS OFF/CEILING REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE. OCCUPANT DOES HAVE 1 BOX FAN. 07/06/2007	NPO(HC)-COOLING	DCOX	Approved	Inspection revealed the evaporative cooler to be working sufficiently. It was blowing a reasonable volume of air and the air was cool. The tenant explained that the cooler will work for a while and then stop working properly. She stated as well that there was a burning smell eminating from the air registers. I was inside residence for approximately 1/2 hour and the the cooler functioned properly that entire time. The landlord arrived and I explained to the him that the cooler needed to be examined to determine if there were an intermitent problem. He agreed to do that. I told the tenant to report again if there were additional problems. Case closed.
