CALLER LIVES IN A COPE HOUSING PROJECT WHERE THE AIR COMPRESSOR WENT OUT. HE CALLED MANAGEMENT LAST THURSDAY(06-21-07) AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PART HAD BEEN ORDERED AND THEY WERE WAITING FOR UPS TO DROP IT OFF AND HAS NOT ARRIVED AS OF YET. MANAGEMENT HAS PROVIDED THE RESIDENTS WITH EVAPORATIVE COOLERS BUT THE CALLER CLAIMS THE TEMP NEVER DROPS BELOW 91 DEGREES INSIDE EVEN WHEN THE COOLERS ARE ON 24HRS A DAYS. CALLER STATES THAT HIS CARDIAC MEDICINE HAS ALREADY GONE BAD BECAUSE IT NEEDS TO BE STORED AT OR BELOW 76 DEGREES BUT CANNOT BE REFRIGERATED. CALLER SUFFERS FROM EMPHYSEMA, HEART DISEASE AND HAD A STROKE NOT TO LONG AGO.

A COOLING UNIT WAS PROVIDED, AS STATED BY COMPLAINANT; SHE REC'D A CALL LAST NIGHT INDICATING IT WAS NOT COOLING. SHE VISITED LOCATION AND CONFIRMED IT WAS WORKING PROPERLY AT THE TEMPERATURE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO. THE CIRCUIT BOARD REQUIRED TO FIX THE MAIN UNIT WAS SUPPOSED TO DELIVER YESTERDAY; SHE IS WORKING TO GET IT IN AND REPLACED IMMEDIATELY. LRP
