The alarm was food on the stove and the problem was resolved and alarm reset. When we tried to notify the management the phone number left for the fire department where wrong and confusing. This problem has been reported before and complaints have been file. (TO6FR02230) This problem with contact number and a lack of proper response continues to be a problem. IFC 2003 107.1 Maintenance of safeguards. Whenever or wherever any device, equipment, system, condition, arrangement, level of protection, or any other feature is required for compliance with the provisions of this code, or otherwise installed, such device, equipment, system, condition, arrangement, level of protection, or other feature shall thereafter be continuously maintained in accordance with this code and applicable referenced standards. 107.5 Owner/occupant responsibility. Correction and abatement of violations of this code shall be the responsibility of the owner. If an occupant creates, or allows to be created, hazardous conditions in violation of this code, the occupant shall be held responsible for the abatement of such hazardous conditions. Current contact numbers for the fire department and your alarm company, and a timely response, is a required part of your level of protection. This letter is to inform you that if the above violations are not corrected and maintained that a citation will be issued which will require an appearance by you in court and probable fine.
