09/08/2006 INSP - FULL EGRIFFIN Violation 1). Currently there are both abandoned and trailer in which occupants are living in. All trailers must be removed or approved by City of Tucson Zoning, to occupy this property. Approval must be in writing by 10-2-06 or removed. 2). Currently there are pallets and other combustible waste on property. ALL shall be removed. 3). Currently there is animal waste, this shall be cleaned up.
10/03/2006 INSP - REINSPECTION EGRIFFIN Violation 304.2 Storage. Storage of combustible rubbish shall not produce conditions that will create a nuisance or a hazard to the public health, safety or welfare.
10/03/2006 INSP - REINSPECTION EGRIFFIN Violation Longacre management is registered with the Pima county Assessor's office as the responsible party to this property. A letter to Voyager management was sent to 3503 East Hardy on September 8, 2006, as requested by Mike Beck of Voyager Management Company. Mr.Beck will also receive a copy of this letter. Currently this property is many stages of neglect and has become a nuisance. On 9-8-06, a fire inspection was conducted on this property. On 10-3-06 a reinspection was conducted with caretaker and land occupant, Robert Durazzo and the following fire code violations was still noticed. 1). Wood pallets and wood debris still remain on property. This is a fire hazard. All wood shall be removed. 2). Weeds are through out field area of property. Weeds shall be cut and removed from property. 3). Currently there is residential type furniture in different stages of decay on this commercial property. All furniture shall be removed from the vacant commercial property. (This property shall be referred to City of Tucson zoning for judgement for residential use.) 4). Currently there are combustible plastic trash containers. This adds to the fire load of this vacant commercial property. All plastic containers shall be removed. 5). Carpet is being stored on this on this vacant property. All carpet shall be removed. 6). There is a wooden trailer that is in different stages of collapse( roof and walls have deteriorated). This trailer is unpainted and is a nuisance. Trailer in the current conation must be removed. Fix trailers, secure or move trailer off propriety. 7). There is an old truck, with windows broke and again in stages of neglect. This truck shall be removed from property. The above are violations of International Fire Code which state: 304.2 Storage. Storage of combustible rubbish shall not produce conditions that will create a nuisance or a hazard to the public health, safety or welfare. The above are examples indicating that this property is un-cared for and neglected. Traditionally neglected properties are targets for crime and arson. This letter will be sent to Mr. Beck and Longacre management. A reinspection will occur on 10-17-06, and all the above violations must be abated. Failure to abate the above by 10-17-06 will result in the Tucson Fire Department's recommendation that the City of Tucson City Prosecutor investigate ownership of the property and start civil litigation immediately.
