05/16/2006 INSP - FULL EGRIFFIN Violation Currently this structure appears to be a Type V, building as per International Building Code section 603. Without any noted firewalls, fire barriers or any other fire rated separation There are several operations that are being conducted that may require a specialized type of building constriction, such operations include but are not limited to; · Spraying of flammable finishes in one room with open flame 10 feet away in another non-separated room. · Electrical transformers for neon sign work- no permits could be presented. · Natural gas Distribution system in side room with open flame- no permits could be presented. International Building Code section 110 states; SECTION 110 CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY 110.1 Use and occupancy. No building or structure shall be used or occupied, and no change in the existing occupancy classification of a building or structure or portion thereof shall be made until the building official has issued a certificate of occupancy therefor as provided herein. Issuance of a certificate of occupancy shall not be construed as an approval of a violation of the provisions of this code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. This building and vehicles have been referred to City of Tucson Department of Neighborhood Resources.
