08/10/2006 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT MCOX Violation Inspected w/ Juan Valdez (residents are primarily Spanish-speaking). Tenants are Miguel and Maria Mendoza 207-9484. Property is three units 266-268-270 W Navajo. Complaint from 268 W Navajo only. Front unit is vacant at this time. No violation with cooling system found; adequate cooling supplied. Violations are: Kitchen: switch for cooler missing face plate, ceiling register not secured, smoke detector nonfunctional, window has no handle. Living room: window handle stripped and nonfunctional. Bathroom: sink cabinet rotting by floor where meets bathtub, wall bracket for toilet paper holder breaking off of wall, light fixture missing cover, door doesn't close due to hinges not properly secured. Back door lockplates loose due to missing screws. Front door hinges and weatherstripping loose. Per tenants were not provided keys for deadbolts to either of the doors. Front porch light fixture missing, exposed wiring. Damaged fascia on front and east side of house. Tenants are using an extension cord as a permanent source of power to the washing machine on the back porch. MLC
