ASKED IF ELECTRICAL WAS OFF AND SHE SAID YES. UNIT HAD POWER AND TENANT STATED THAT A GENERATOR WAS BEING USED AND THAT T.E.P. SAID IT WAS OK AND ALSO WITH THE CITY SAYING YES. ASKED FOR NAMES AND WAS UNABLE TO REMEMBER. ASKED TO SEE GENERATOR AND ONE OF THE VISITOR ASKED FOR I.D. AND SHOWED BADGE. ONCE BADGE WAS SHOWN, 2 MALES AND 1 FEMALE LEFT SITE. SAW GENERATOR IN BACK YARD AND HAD EXTENSION CORD GOING TO OUTLET IN BACK ROOM WHICH WAS BACK FEEDING POWER TO DWELLING. CHECKED ELECTRICAL METER AND METER HAS BEEN REMOVED DUE TO TAMPERING AND LACK OF PAYMENT. THE CORD FROM GENERATOR WENT TO ELECTRICAL OUTLET TO GIVE POWER TO HOUSE. UNIT HAD NO WATER AND CHECK WATER METER AND IT HAD BEEN REMOVED. SHUT OFF WAS PAD LOCKED TO OFF POSITION. DID ADVISE DUE TO NO POWER AND WATER TO SITE THAT THEY NEEDED TO FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY. FOUND A NON-WORKING SMOKE DETECTOR, WINDOWS AND DOORS WERE UNABLE TO LOCK. WINDOWS WERE MISSING LOCKS AND HAD WRONG PANEL FOR WINDOW. DOORS WERE NOT ABLE TO LOCK DUE TO BROKEN OR NOT COMPLETE TO LOCK. DOOR WERE NOT SEALED. THIS CASE WILL BE REFERRED TO SECTION 8 AND WILL MEET ON MONDAY TO REVIEW CASE. MET WITH OWNER OF PROPERTY AT SITE AND THEY WANTED THE TENANT TO MOVE OUT DUE TO TIRED OF HASSELS IN THE PAST FEW WEEKS AND WERE BEHING ON PAYMENTS. THEY GAVE PERMISSION TO SECURE PROPERTY AND CALLED BATHCREST TO SITE. HAD ALL OPENINGS SECURED EXCEPT FRONT DOOR AND OWNER GAVE TENANTS 24 HOURS TO MOVE OUT. WHILE I WAS ON SITE I WAS CALLED BY T.F.D. TO ANOTHER SITE. SHOWED BATHCREST WHAT NEEDED TO BE SECURED AND LEFT SITE. WILL MEET SECTION 8 ON MONDAY. |
