Smoke detectors shall be tested, and log submitted to TFD. IFC 901.6, IFC 907.2 2). Fire alarm system shall be tested and repaired. All components in fire alarm system shall be tested and addressed on approved fire alarm testing report. Items such as (but not limited to): Corridor smoke detectors, all heat detectors, exterior alarm panel and all horns shall be addressed on report. IFC 901.6 If desire is to remove non-required fire protection systems or components, a letter to Deputy Chief Dan Uthe is required before removal. 3). All doors serving corridors shall be repaired, if damaged. If replaced shall be solid core fire resistive type doors. IFC 703.1 4). All holes in ceiling and walls shall be repaired. The following areas (but not limited to) have holes in fire resistive separations. 2nd floor building 4, 3rd floor, building 4, 1st floor, building 2, near P438, IFC 703.1 5). All doorframes shall be repaired, occupied or not. IFC 703.1 6). Weeds shall be cut and removed from pool chemical storage area. IFC 304.1 7). Currently smoking material are being discarded from apt 3110. This practice shall cease immediately. IFC 310.7 8). Repair all damaged exit lights and egress illumination lights that are damaged or non-operational. This is in (but not limited to) P437, building 2-3rd floor, building 4-2nd floor, building 1-3rd floor, building 2, 3rd floor. Check all lights. IFC 1026.3, IFC 1026.5 9). A reinspection on September 6, 2005 to ensure progress of abatement, indicated no progress has been made to correct these severe fire code violations. All of the below fire code violations shall be completed by the original reinspection date of September 28, 2005. Due to the severity of these fire code violations, The Tucson Fire Department shall request civil litigation to the City of Tucson Prosecutors office on September 29, 2005 is abatement has not been completed. |

IFC 901.6 Failure to maintain fire alarm equipment (smoke detectors) in required areas (apartments). Description: The following smoke detectors are missing in the following apartments at 550 South Camino Seco as of 11-30-05: 3105, 3107 (occupied), 1103, 1104, 1105, 1115, 1116, 1216, 1210 (picture), 1207, 1206, 1205, 1301, 1208, 1310, 1312, 237 (occupied), 3110, 3106, 3202, 3303, 432, 4307, 4206, 4201. The following smoke detectors are installed in the following apartments, but failed to operate when tested on 11-30-05: 3104, 1109, 1111, 1114, 1204, 1201, 1213, 1307, 1314,1313, 2108, 2105, 2201 (occupied), 3115 (occupied), 3114 (occupied), 3109 (occupied), 3101 (occupied), 3201(occupied), 3206, 3205, 3209, 3212, 3211, 3215, 3216, 3307, 3310, 3306 (occupied), 4304, 4305, 4306, 4308, 4207, 4205, 4102, 4103, 4106, 4105, 4107, 1206, 4302. The following smoke detectors in the following apartments are not properly mounted or, installed or they were damaged and could not be tested on 11-30-05: 1113, 2304 (occupied), 3314, 4104. 2). IFC 901.6 Failure to maintain heat detectors. Description: 3107 (heat detector not properly installed-see picture), 2303, 2308 (covered with blue tape), 3). IFC 703.1 Failure to maintain required fire door. Description: The fire door on the 3rd floor of building 4, and has not been installed and is laying on the floor. (Picture). 4). IFC 703.1 Failure to maintain fire resistive rating in the walls and ceilings. Description: There are holes in the following areas: Apartments: 3107 (hole in ceiling-picture), 3108 (hole in bathroom), and 1209 (hole in closet) 5). IFC 703.2.2 Failure to maintain automatic door closures. Description: Building 2, 1st floor: the automatic door closure is missing. Building 4, 3rd floor: the automatic door closure is missing 6). IFC 1026.3 Failure to maintain exit signs. Description: Both exit signs serving the exits on Building 4 on the 3rd floor were not illuminated. 7). IFC 1025.6 Failure to maintain egress illumination light. Description: The egress illumination light failed when tested at Building 1, 2nd floor History; 8-19-05, an initial inspection was conducted at this address with no compliance See report. 9-9-05, pre-citation letter was sent to Mr. Evenchik. See report 11-30-05. Final inspection conducted.
