07/14/2005 COMPL - INITIAL INSPECTION TKNAPP Approved Engine 6 requested a fire inspector to respond to a sawdust fire involving the dust collection system. The fire was caused by a sander belt that had broke causing a fire within the dust collection system at the large cyclone dust separator located outside. No fire code violations involving the dust collection system were present. There has been past a incident involving a fire and the dust collection system, but upgrades have been made to the system sinse then. It is not practical to install fire sprinklers within the ductwork.
