03/18/2005 INSP - FULL EGRIFFIN Violation 1). Currently no portable fire extinguishers exists in parts cleaning area and waste oil area. 1505.5 Portable fire extinguishers. Areas in the vicinity of dip tanks shall be provided with portable fire extinguishers complying with Section 906 and suitable for flammable and combustible liquid fires as specified for extra (high) hazard occupancies. Portable extinguisher size 4-A: 40B is required to be within 50 feet of cleaning operation and in the area of waste oil area. 2). Currently waste oil is not being clean. Oil and absorbent are being left on the ground. TFC 2703.3 All oil shall be cleaned up and disposed of properly. 3). Tanks containing water shall be labeled WATER TFC 2703. 4). Tank using chemical Dolphon CC-1105 shall be label Combustible liquid. Dolphon CC-1105 has been determined to be a Class III type combustible liquid, according to MSDS. TFC2703.5 Portable fire extinguisher classes are available at your request
