ITEMS FOUND TO HAVE REPAIRED ARE: BEDROOM - NO HEAT, OPEN GROUND AND APPEARS TO BE ON A 2-WIRE SYSTEM, CRACKS IN THE WALL ON NORTH SIDE WALL, SLIDING GLASS DOOR HARD TO CLOSE APPEARS TO OFF THE ROLLERS, LOCK ON SLIDING GLASS DOOR WON'T LOCK AND NOT SEALED ON EDGES, NO WORKING SMOKE DETECTOR. BATHROOM - WATER AT TUB AND SHOWER WON'T TURN OFF AND STAY RUNNING, WINDOW STUCK OPEN, NO HEAT, OUTLET ON LIGHT FIXTURE NOT GFCI PROTECTED, CLOSET LIGHT HAS NO GLOBE. KITCHEN AND LIVING ROOM - SINK IS LEAKING, FAN AT STOVE IS DIRTY AND DRIPPING GREASE, NO HEAT, FRONT DOOR NOT SEALED, LOCK MISSING PLATE, SMOKE DETECTOR MISSING, LOOSE OUTLETS, REFRIGERATOR NOT WORKING, ROACHES THRU-OUT, NEEDS PAINTING THRU-OUT. THE TENANT HAS STATED THAT SHE USE TO BE THE MANAGER AND WAS MOVING OUT. SHE STATED THAT THE NEW MANAGER STAYS AT THE END UNIT BUT IS HARDLY THERE. I TOLD THE TENANT THAT I WOULD STOP BY THE OWNER UNIT WHICH WAS NEXT DOOR AND TALK TO HIM ON MY FINDINGS. I WILL ASK FOR THE REPAIRS NEEDED TO BE DONE. THE TENANT STATED THAT SHE HAS A PLACE TO MOVE TO. SHE WILL BE OUT BY THE BEGINNING OF NEXT WEEK. WILL CHECK THE UNIT IN 5 DAYS.
12/23/2005 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE RVIDAL Correction Required WENT TO SITE AND UNIT IS OPENED AND VACANT WITH FRONT DOOR AND UINABLE TO LOCK. AT REAR SLIDING GLASS DOOR HAS BROKEN GLASS AND IS BEING HELD BY TAPE BUT IS FALLING IN AREAS. DID TRY TO FIND THE MANAGER WHICH IS THE NEPHEW OF THE OWNER. CALLED RICK SALDATE INSPECTOR 2 DUE TO DID AN INSPECTION WHICH WAS STILL DOING THE NOTICE OF VIOLATION BUT WAS NOT FOR THE UNIT BEING UNSECURED. I DID NOT HAVE A NOTICE FOR VACANT AND UNSECURED UNIT AND WILL SERVE TO THE OWNER WHICH IS ON SITE ONCE THE UNIT IS SECURED. OWNER HAS STATED HE IS UNABLE TO SECURE THE UNIT AND THE CITY CAN DO IT. I WAS NOT ABLE TO FIND THE NEPHEW TO HAVE THE UNIT SECURED. WILL DUE THE BOARD UP DUE TO THE OWNER IS UNABLE TO KEEP THE UNIT SECURED. THE NEPHEW WAS NOT ANSWERING ANY PHONE CALLS. DID THE NOTICE AND POSTING ON THE PLYWOOD ONCE THE BOARD UP WAS DONE. I DID HAVE THE OWNER SIGN THE NOTICE BEFORE POSTING. WILL CHECK IN 30 DAYS.
