06/02/2005 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | RVIDAL | Correction Required | Visited site and found roaches and smell of cat ordor and waste. Roaches are all over intire unit. Opened refrigerator and freezer and roaches are inside, stove, cabinets, closets, bedding, walls, ceilings, floors all have roaches. Tenant Jannet Folsome said she lived there 4 years and has 2-cats. While doing the inspection found non working smoke detector in hallway, toilet not working at tank properly-water coming out at top, and cat fecus thru out the house on the floor with food laying on floor, food left on dishes and thrown in the sink. Got name and phone # and stop by site to meet with property manager. He is willing to spray and clean the unit but not if this is going to happened in 30 days. Met with Dave Emory at office and was told they only have had this property for only 3-months. Tenant is current and always on time with payment. Advised Dave that I will call APS for assistance in getting tenant out for treatment with some clean up. |
06/06/2005 | EMERGENCY CALL OUT | RVIDAL | Correction Required | Called Mary Ann from COPE and was told what was found. She felt that the place had not been treated and that was the problem of the roaches. Mary Ann was told that this did not happen over night and we have an owner and property manager that is willing to treat and clean the unit but did not want this to happen again. Advised that I felt that Jannett the tenant needed assisted living assistance due to she has food left all over the unit, cat food is on the floor as cat waste, and lacks cleaning. Mary Ann found another place to house her and will move her out in 2 to 3 days. Advise Mary Ann that anything being taken to other unit needs to be put outside for a couple of days to hope that the roaches leave due to heat. Told Mary Ann that porch was clean and could be left there. I called Dave from the property manager to advise on what was told and said as soon as tenant is moved out they will bomb the unit before going into the unit to remove items. Told Dave that anything left in the unit will stay and can be trashed and that was told by Mary Ann from COPE due to they were only taking TV and clothes and leaving everything else. |
