SHE INFORMED INSPECTOR THE FIRE OCCURED A FEW MONTHS AGO DURING THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW ROOF SYSTEM. VISITED SITE AT 608 N. 10TH AVE. FOUND NO ONE HOME. LEFT CARD ON DOOR. VISITED SITE AT 144 W. 5TH ST. ALL EXTERIOR GATES LOCKED. RANG DOOR BELL AT FRONT GATE AREA. NO ONE HOME. LEFT CARD AT DOORBELL. MET NEIGHBOR TINA BAILEY ON SITE. SHE ENTERED FROM REAR GATE AREA. SHE INFORMED INSPECTOR PROPERTY WAS MANAGED BY A REALTY COMPANY. OWNERS LIVED OUT OF STATE. SHE ALSO INFORMED INSPECTOR THE PROPERTY DIRECTLY BEHIND THIS DWELLING IS MANAGED BY THE SAME MANAGEMENT COMPANY. PERHAPS ONE OF THE TENANTS ON PERRY AV. WOULD HAVE MORE INFORMATIONM ON THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY. INSPECTOR DROVE TO ADJACENT PROPERTY 609-611 N. PERRY AND MET WITH TENANT FROM 609 (JUSTINE). SHE STATES SHE WAS A STUDENT WHO RENTS FROM TUCSON REALTY. SHE DID NOT YET OCCUPY HER APARTMENT WHEN THE FIRE OCCURED. NO OTHER TENANTS ARE PRESENT ON THE PROPERTY AT THIS TIME. INSPECTOR GAVE TENANT FROM 609 A CARD SO SHE MAY PASS THE WORD TO HER NEIGHBORS WHO MAY HAVE VALUABLE INFORMATION. INSPECTOR ABLE TO ENTER VACANT STRUCTURE FROM REAR GATE. FOUND LARGE AMOUNTS OF DEBRIS AND BUILDING ROOFING MATERIALS ON SITE. OBVIOUS SIGNS OF PAST FIRE DAMAGE WHICH HAS CAUSED STRUCTUAL DAMAGE TO THE STABILITY OF THE ROOF STRUCTURE. FIRE DAMAGE IS SUCH THAT IT PRESENTS A NUISANCE TO THE COMMUNITY DUE TO THE DILAPIDATION OF CHARED MEMBERS. THE STRUCUTURE IS NOT SECURED AT THIS TIME. IT IS CONSIDERED HAZARDOUS IF THE PUBLIC WERE TO ENTER THE STRUCUTURE. THE ROOF ASSEMBLY MAY COLLAPSE AT ANY TIME. INSPECTOR CAMACHO CONTACTED RICK S. WHILE ON SITE WITH FINDINGS. DECISION REACHED TO MEET IN OFFICE WITH PICTURES SO A DECISION CAN BE REACHED ON NOTICE. |

APOLOGIZED FOR MISUNDERSTANDING AND STATED HE WOULD SEND OVER PESONNEL TO SECURE STRUCTURE AND FENCING AND WILL CONTACT INSPECTOR WHEN COMPLETED. PICTURES WERE TAKEN. RECEIVED CALL FROM RONY, PROPERTY MANAGER, SECUREMENT OF FENCING AND STRUCTURE HAS BEEN COMPLETED. IF ANYTHING ELSE IS NEEDED PLEASE CONTACT HIM. PROPERTY SHOULD BE IN NEW OWNER POSSESSION BY 12/09/04. |
