12/03/2003 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | JCRAIG | Approved | I WENT TO SITE-TENANT WAS NOT HOME, WHILE AT SITE I DID NOT SMELL ANY FUMES FROM ACID OR CLEANERS. IN OR AROUND UNIT. I DID TALK TO THE PEOPLE NEXT DOOR AND THEY STATED THAT THE TENANT DOES REHAB OLD METAL ITEMS BUT THEY SEEN HIS HANDS IN FLUID AND THEY FEEL IT COULD NOT BE ACID. THEY STATED THEY NEVER SMELL ANYTHING. I DID CALL CALLER, SHE STATED HE STOPPED ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO. NOTHING FOUND AT STIE. NO PHOTOS TAKEN (NO DISK) BECKY FROM DNR WANTS CASE INSPECTED WITH T.F.D WITH DNR INSPECTOR C-10, INSPECTION DATE SET-UP PER BECKY AT 2:00PM WITH STEVE FROM TFD. |
12/17/2003 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | JCRAIG | Approved | AS STATED BEFORE NO SMELLS WERE FOUND AT SITE ON OUTSIDE UNIT J-118. THE TENANT DOES NOT HAVE A TUB FILLED WITH CHEMICAL OR ACIDS. THE TENANT STILL JUST HAS SPRAY PAINT CANS IN BOX ON REAR PORCH. THERE MIGHT BE MINOR PAINTING OF OLD IRON AS STATED BEFORE, NOTHING WAS OUT AT THIS TIME. I DID WAIT FOR TFD (STEVE) AT SITE. THE FLUID IS WATER IF ANYTHING TO PREP IRON BEFORE SPRAY PAINTING. THE TENANT DOES HAVE (2) FIRE HOSES ON REAR PATIO. FOR WHAT I AM UNSURE. THERE WAS A SMALL SPRAY PLASTIC BOTTLE ABOUT 10 OZ. OF PATINA OXIDI FOR RUST REMOVAL AT SITE. AGAIN I DID NOT SMELL ANYTHING LIKE ACID. PAINT OR CHEM. AROUND J118 REAR PATIO. MORE PHOTOS WERE TAKEN, AGAIN AT SITE FOR CASE CONTROL. THERE ARE NO DNR ISSUES AT THIS APT J118. THRE IS NO HAZARDS OR HAZARDOUS USE OF ANY CHEM OR ACID AT THIS ADDRESS AS STATED BEFORE ON LAST INSPECTION OF AREA AND UNIT. I WAS AT SITE FOR 1 1/2 HOURS CHECKING TO SEE IF CALLER WAS WRONG ABOUT UNIT #, I WALKED ALL UNITS AT SITE AND FOUND NO CHEM HAZARDS TO REPORT. ALL UNITS ARE AND STAY WELL MAINT. TFD (STEVE) WAS NOT AT SITE. HE DID CALL UNABLE TO MAKE IT. CLOSE CASE AGAIN. |
