05/09/2003 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | JHURD | Correction Required | 5/7/03, VISITED SITE, TOOK PICTURES, UPON ARRIVAL FOUND WOOD SLATED DOUBLE GATES OPEN AND MISSING SLATS ALLOWING ACCESS INTO YARD AND POOL, THERE IS AN ADDITION INTERIOR BARRIER, 4' CYCLONE FENCE ONE SECTION RUNS NORTH AND SOUTH APPOX. 60' AND HAS GATE, GATE NOT SELF CLOSING OR LATCHING, ANOTHER CYCLONE FENCE THAT RUNS THE LENGHT OF THE POOL EAST TO WEST, THIS FENCING IS 3' IN HEIGHT BUT SITS ATOP A 1' POOL SLAB WHICH MAKES IT A TOTAL OF 4' IN HEIGHT, NONE OF THE CYCLONE FENCING HAS SLATS INSTALLED, ALSO THERE IS A GATE THAT LEADS DIRECTLY INTO POOL AREA THAT IS ONLY 3' IN HEIGHT, WRONG GATE, THERE IS ALSO A GATE THAT IS WOOD SLATS THAT LEADS RIGHT INTO THE AREA WHERE THE 3' GATE IS LOCATED, WOOD SLATED GATE IS NOT SELF CLOSING OR LATCHING, ON THE OTHER SIDE (SOUTH) THERE WAS A SOLID BLOCK WALL AND IT HAS BEEN RAN INTO BY VEHICLE AND KNOCKED DOWN THIS WALL IS PART OF THE PUMP HOUSE IN THE SAME ROOM THERE IS A DOOR WAY THAT LEADS INTO THE POOL AREA BOTH ARE OPEN AND UNSECURED AT THIS TIME, OWNER OMAR IS TALKING WITH INS. CO. TO GET WALL REPLACED. THERE WAS A FRIEND AT UNIT AND I EXPLAINED THAT I NEEDED TO GET THE POOL SECURED BEFORE I LEAVE PROPERTY AND BRIAN DID SECURE POOL AT THIS TIME I EXPLAINED THAT I WOULD BE SENDING N.O. FOR REPAIRS, OWNER OMAR HAD CALLED ME FROM WORK AND HAD ASK WHAT WAS GOING ON AND WHEN I EXPLAINED ABOUT THE POOL HE STATED THAT WHEN HE BOUGHT THE HOUSE HE HAD IT INSP. AND THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT THIS, I REEXPLAINED THAT I NEEDED TO GET THE POOL SECURED AND THE REST IS BETWEEN HIM AND WHO EVER DID INSP. HE ASK IF WE COULD MEET TO SHOW HIM WHAT IS NEEDED, I AGREED TO MEETING. N.O. TO BE SENT |
