| 12/11/2025 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | I arrived on scene with Inspector Metelov at approximately 9:55 PM. Officer Durduno (Badge #49276) provided photographs of the interior of the structure and relayed that an estimated 5–7 individuals were living in the home. According to the officer, electrical service to the property had been disconnected for several weeks. In response, the occupants had connected a generator and modified the electrical system to back-feed the panel. The fuse box had been altered by someone residing on the property, and multiple electrical cords were observed daisy-chained together to supply power from the generator to the garage. The panel’s dead front had also been removed. Inside both the residence and the garage, there was a significant accumulation of trash, refuse, feces, scrap metal, tools, and various other items. These materials were stacked across most surfaces and obstructed safe egress throughout the structure. Due to the lack of egress, lack of power, and accumulation of trash and feces, we are condemning the property. Permits will be required for electrical reconnect. At 10:34, the residents were allowed back into the property to collect personal items and pets. The order to vacate and indemnification form was signed and posted at 11:11pm. |
