12/13/2022 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation Communication called that TFD on site with a building fire. Arrived and all the units were still on site and were checking for hot spots. The fire investigators were on site and checking for cause. The fire was in the rear of the building in the attic area. The area has a drop ceiling and burned the TIJI truss that had electrical flex for lighting at the bottom of the truss. The fire burned up the truss to the sheathing and burned a hole through the roof. A vent hole was made to exit the smoke out of the building. There was a sprinkler head in the area and it went off and flooded the unit. When the units arrived, there was large amount of water exiting the building from the floor through the door openings. The riser was turned off by the Fire Department and one head was activated. The fire was contained to the small area in the attic and did not go past the ceiling level for the store area or the rear storage area. The management was allowed to remove the items from the area and once completed, the breakers were turned off at the panel on the rear wall for the unit. On breaker was tripped in the panel. The water did go into the other units on both sides and will need to be extracted. See internal notes for additional info.
