Case Details
Status:
Active
Type:
MULT: Sewage pipes were recently replaced for 1047 N 9th Ave. The work was done in the alley. Since that date water has begun pooling in the alley. I've called Tucson Water and Pima County Wastewater Management. Nothing has been done, and the situation is getting much worse. Water is pooling across the alley spanning two properties. This is sewage water in the ground rising to the surface. This is a public health concern. Please send someone to help inspect as soon as possible.

| 11/14/2025 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | 140 PM - Arrived and found the area behind this property and behind property to south to be dry with no areas of wet ground. I observed no raw sewage and smelled no raw sewage in the alley. The round does appear to recently been disturbed behind 1047. Spoke with owner 0f 1047, states he had sewer line replaced from home to the alley. Advsd there are no permits on file for this work and he would need to have his contractor obtain a permit. Also spoke to a nearby resident who stated PC Wastewater came out flushed lines in the area and found no leaks. Tucson Water also was called out and identified a water main leaking water into the alley, which has been fixed by Tucson Water. Send NOV for sewer line replacement without a permit. -VM |
