| 11/20/2025 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | Completed | 111 pm - Previously placed calls to Tenant on 11/17, 11/18, 11/19 and today 11/20. Have been unable to coordinate an inspection. Made contact at the unit, resident states her husband isn’t home and is unable to secure the dogs for an inspection. Asked me if I could come back tomorrow. -VM | |
| 11/20/2025 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up | In Violation | 202 pm - Contact on site with Tenant and inspected unit. Tenant states electrical outlets were fixed near the TV. I tested two outlets in the kitchen above the kitchen sink, and one to the north west of the kitchen and all three tested as wired correctly. Outlet behind front door tested with bad ground. Outlet west of the window on the south wall of the living room tested with a bad ground. In the master (NW) bedroom, both outlets (along the south wall and the west wall) tested with a bad ground. In the master bathroom, the toilet is not secure to the ground, there is no hot water, and the floor has soft spots. The bathroom exhaust fan is inoperable. Attempted to test the furnace, did turn on at the thermostat, and the unit turned on, but was unable to verify if operable because Tenant wanted it turned back off to prevent smoke detectors from going off in the unit. There is what appears to be a cut wire plugged in that leads to the unit, but unable to determine what this wiring is for. The hot water heater is sitting on a block and pieces of wood are wedged in the floor, appears to be holding it in place in an unsafe manner. Notice of violation to be issued to property owner. -VM |
