PER WARD OFFICE CASE WAS REOPENED- PERMITS HAVE NOT BEEN APPLIED FOR CORRECTLY. NOV BEING SENT OUT FOR NEW C OF O AND PERMITS. | |
09/29/2023 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up | In Violation | ON SITE WITH TPD, CBI, COMMUNITY OUTREACH, SUP LP, INSPECTOR CB AND RG, SECURITY AND STAFF FROM OCTILLO COMPLEX. A SHUT DOWN OF EVERY UNIT WAS PERFORMED IN CONJUNCTION WITH MANY INNER OFFICE AGENCIES AND OUTSIDE AGENCIES. COURT ON 9/26/23 GRANTED CONDMENATION OF THE UNITS DUE TO UNSAFE LIVING CONDITIONS AND NO CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY TO OPERATE AS LONG TERM LIVING. AFTER DOING A WALK THROUGH WITH OCTILLO STAFF ON 9/28/23 IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS NO ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO THE ENTIRE COMPLEX. FUSES HAD EXPLODED AFTER POSSIBLY BEING TAMPERED WITH. THERE WAS HUMAN AND ANIMAL FECES INSIDE THE INTERIOR WALK WAYS AND STAIRS. THERE ARE FIRE HAZARDS THROUGH OUT EACH BUILDING. THE GLASS HAD BEEN BROKEN OUT AND THE EXSTINGUISHERS WERE MISSING IN THE CORRIDORS. THERE WAS NO WORKING SMOKE ALARMS OR FIRE SYSTEM THROUGHOUT THE UNITS AND BUILDINGS. TFD HAD ORDERED A 24 HOUR WATCH DUE TO THE HAZARDS. MULTIPLE UNITS WERE BREACHED AND DESTROYED FROM UNAUTHORIZED AND AUTHORIZED PEOPLE TAKING UP DWELLING IN THE UNITS. THERE WAS EVIDENCE OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA. THERE WAS REFUSE AND DEBRIS THROUGHOUT THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS. THERE WAS EVIDENCE OF RODENT AND INSECT INFESTATION DUE TO THE HOUSEKEEPING OF THE UNITS. THERE WAS NO WORKING COOLING SYSTEM, OUTLETS, LIGHTS, APPLIANCES AND MORE DUE TO NO ELECTRICAL SERVICE. THE LAUNDRY FACILITIES HAD BEEN BREACHED AND THE CHANGE HAD BEEN STOLEN FROM ALL MACHINES. THE UNITS ARE UNSAFE AND UNSANITARY TO OCCUPY. RESIDENTS WERE OFFERED SERVICES. TEP MAY CUT POWER FROM THE POLE DUE TO THE EXISTING DAMAGE TO THE SYSTEM. ALL UNITS ARE CONDEMNED AND WILL NOT BE OCCUPIED PER COURT ORDER UNTIL EACH UNIT IS BROUGHT INTO COMPLIANCE OF ALL CITY REQUIREMENTS. OCTILLO APARTMENTS WILL BOARD AND SECURE THE PROPERTY. |
