| 09/30/2026 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | Arrived on scene at 123 PM. for a motor vehicle accident into structure of Suite 141. Vehicle struck a front porch support column, and has separated it from the ground. The column appears to have been attached to the ground with metal brackets and those have signs of rust and are sheared from the ground. The porch headers and roof line shows signs of sagging. The vehicle struck the storefront of Beverage Depot. The front door and window frames are pushed inside the store and multiple windows are broken. There is cracking on an interior wall above the door. Business owner states this cracking was present prior to the vehicle accident. There is no apparent structural damage to the structural members of the building. Because the store only contains one public entrance, the store will be red tagged as unsafe to occupied due to egress issues. A licensed contractor is required to make repairs to the storefront, as well as the porch post with an issued permit from the City Of Tucson. Code Enforcement will need to and reinspect the storefront before lifting the condemnation to ensure the store has safe egress. -VM |
