| 09/21/2026 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | Completed | Arrived to scene at 255 AM and met with TPD officer who reports that upon entering the unit, observed general filth, trash, and found bedbugs in the area around the couch and "hundreds" of roaches. Spoke to the occupant on site who consented to a search of the unit. Upon entry, I found the unit to have a very heavy infestation of roaches at all stages of life. Also found flying insects in the unit. There is debris and trash scattered throughout the unit. The kitchen in particular has an accumulation of trash in the kitchen, on the counters and on the stove. There is a heavy roach infestation present in the kitchen. The electricity and water utilities are both on. There are no concerns for egress in the unit as the front door is accessible. Did provide the tenant with a 10 day notice to dispose of all trash and debris, and to sanitize the unit. Called and spoke to owner and advised her of the situation and that she would be required to treat the unit within 10 days. -VM |
