| 09/28/2025 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | 423 pm - Called out to site by TFD. Upon arrival, no one from TFD was on scene. Made contact w/ resident at unit 206. Resident states AC unit caught fire, had white smoke come into the unit. Resident states there is no fire damage. I checked interior and could find no signs of smoke damage or fire damage. Checked breaker panel, no breakers were tripped. Spk to TFD captain over the phone. States they responded and went onto the roof, and found the HVAC system, as well as debris and packrat debris surrounding the HVAC system on roof on fire. They thermal checked building and fire was isolated to HVAC system. Per TFD, motor and belts were burned. Power to HVAC system was isolated. Issue NOV to have a licensed HVAC company repair, ore replace HVAC system under permit. -VM |
