09/24/2024 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | Tucson Water Department reported continuance tampering of their utility. Water service was eliminated to this unit until resolution was reached with tenants. Occupants were notified that unit 2 is being posted unfit to occupied. The electrical meter had signs of tampering, T.E.P. was notified and confirmed meter was being bypassed in an unsafe manner. Power was terminated by removal of the meter completely. T.E.P. will be requiring a permit prior to reconnecting the electricity. The following deficiencies were identified at the downstream panel at the exterior of the unit labeled 2: • The panel cover is damaged and missing hardware. • Panel is not properly anchored to the building. • Panel has an unsecured M.C. cable in a non-code complaint manner that appears to be installed without permits. • Main circuit run from main panel at the meter to the downstream exterior panel has an LB missing its protective cover. |
