Did compare in detail the Google Street View images to what was visible from the right of way. Could not identify any walls or features of the ruins had been damaged. Did observe a large dead tree had been removed from the front of the property. Called and spoke with the site manager with property owner KMS Enterprises, and asked if they had caused any damage to the ruins. He states he is well aware of the need to preserve them and has not damaged them, states they will be staying in tact and a home is to be built in the rear. He did state he has had multiple individuals come onto his property yelling at workers and threatening them with arrest for clearing dead vegetation and debris. Asked for permission to enter property to view it up close, he did okay this. I entered property and took pictures, compared remains of walls to Pictometry images. There is tracks leading up to the east side of the ruin, does not appear any damage was done to the walls. I could not observe any damage to walls of the ruin. Unable to verify, case will be closed. -VM |
