Arrived and all the units have cleared and the manager was on site. The fire was in a junction box for the water heater. The plastic box has melted and the wire from the J-box to the water heater has burned. The drywall was removed to check for fire in the wall. The electrical was removed at the main breaker by the meter. Did place a City of Tucson lock on the cover to the main breaker in the off position. The fire damage was contained to the J-box and the wiring to the water heater. Has the smell of fire in the unit and no visible smoke damage. The unit has just been repaired and was rent ready before the fire. The unit was being inspected by agency to have the unit rented out on Tuesday. At this time the unit will have to wait to be rented and have talk to the electrician on the repairs to be done. Will get the permit to have the repairs checked. The manager signed the paperwork and no posting of Do Not Enter was posted due to the door was locked while on site and was a vacant unit. RV. | |
