08/16/2025 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation On site at property, with Southwest Gas, Owner, and Tenant. TFD was not there on arrival. The dwelling consisted of two address 1408 E 8TH ST and 1410 E 8TH ST. Tenants of 1410 E 8TH ST stated their unit was fine and did not allow entry to inspect. It appears, from the rain/weather the roof was excessively damaged. Roof damages are all on the north side of dwelling. The structure is exhibiting significant signs of roof compromise and resulting interior damage. There is ceiling water intrusion. Active water leaks are visible in multiple ceiling areas, with drops forming, brown/yellow water stains, and streaking consistent with roof penetration. Water bubbles in the ceiling drywall/plaster suggest ongoing saturation and moisture entrapment. Floor is apparently soaked wet, but not flooded. There is cracks in ceiling and walls. Large structural cracks were observed on the ceiling surface and at wall junctions, indicating possible roof deck sagging or shifting due to prolonged water damage. Condemnation to 1408 E 8TH ST. Permits are required. Power to remain off until proper permits are obtain and repairs are made by a licensed contractor. Owner signed documents.
11/12/2025 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation RENTAL UNIT IS STILL VACANT AND STILL POSTED. NO PERMITS HAVE BEEN APPLIED FOR YET.
