08/28/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial Completed The property has a carport at the southwest corner. The carport’s supports and their components have been struck by a vehicle. The beam with the electrical conduit, which is energized, have shifted, the electrical is connected to the carport’s lighting fixtures. Onsite staff isolated the electrical by disconnecting and securing the conductors at the j-box located at the carport’s east end. A fence company was called by the staff to secure and isolate the damaged area from being utilized until repairs are made with applicable permits. Code Enforcement will require a permit for repair or replacement of the structural members of the metal carport. The electrical conductors need to be evaluated by a qualified technician to ensure they are not compromised or loose from their point of connection.
