08/27/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a building fire. Arrived and the units were clearing the site. The fire investigators were on site and checking for cause. The unit had someone sleeping in the rear room and someone in the front room. The fire was started on the exterior of the rear porch area and burned into the unit. The bathroom window and the rear door were burned with broken glass and the door removed. The interior has heavy smoke damage and the ceiling and walls have holes in the drywall or pulled down to check for fire in the rear of the unit. The electrical was removed at the pedestal and had no gas to the unit. The rear porch was burned and a wall that separates the units. The water heater and smoke detectors were lacking. The roof shingles have fire damage at the rear porch area. No venting was done. The unit has hoarding issues through out. Not able to locate the owner with calling and leaving a message and called Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the unit secured. The Redcross was called to the site for placement. Posted the paperwork and Do Not Enter on the front windows. RV.
08/29/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up Passed Have talk to the owner of the property and aware of the fire to the unit. He will be cleaning the site and working on getting the repairs done. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
