07/11/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation Rental unit fire started in bathroom trash can. Electrical lighting fixture and wiring damaged in bathroom. Hole in the ceiling in the bathroom. Water leak in the ceiling in the living room. Water on the floor from the leak in the roof. Electrical service box is missing the cover plate and the front cover exposing electrical wiring to the weather elements. Electrical wires poking out and not taped off. Outdoor electrical junction boxes not properly attached to the wall and the knocks outs are missing exposing electrical wiring to the weather elements. Gas Water heater cover missing sitting tall grass and weeds. Gas water heater has weeds growing around the water heater pilot light area. Fire hazard. Dog feces on the floor in the rental unit. Kitchen stove cut in half and has rodent feces all over the stove. Storage in side rental unit is stacked up to the ceiling. Shut down rental unit. Permits will be required to make repairs to the entire rental unit. Currently unit is not habitable for people or pets. Complete nov shut down paper work. Post placard.
09/09/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation House is still vacant. Fence has fallen down and property has tall grass and weeds. Called owner regarding the tall grass and weeds and the fence that has since fell down. Owner states he is working with the tenants to get them completely out of the house. He will take full possession of the house on 9/12/24. After this he will address the yard and the fence.
