07/08/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation 740 AM - Called out to site by TFD. Fire started in the kitchen of Unit 303 and consumed the unit. Damage to drywall, walls, ceilings. Unable to determine if any damage to structural members. Unit is condemned and unfit to occupy. TEP did disconnect power at the meter. Permits required for repairs with the use of a licensed contractor. Damage to other units in building listed below: 301 (abutting to east) and 305 (abutting to west) water on floor is pooled, does not appear to have entered from ceiling, no drywall damage. Units are smoky but being aired out. 307 and 309 - no water damage, units are smoky but being aired out. 304 - abutting directly upstairs - heavy smoke in unit, door is broken in, needs to be secured and repaired. 306 - abutting west upstairs - smoke in unit, no apparent water damage. 302 - abutting east upstairs - smoke in unit, ceiling is cut into and removed by the front door. 308 & 310 - no water damage, smoke in unit. The building in the area has sustained damage. Structural members of the landing, and rim joists have some charring and fire damage. Rim joist where stairway meets landing is damaged, cracked and missing, and nails sticking out. Closed this stairway off with caution tape. A hole is cut into the stucco of a support column directly in front of Unit 306. Structural members of the column have apparent fire damage. Issued EAOV notice for Unit 303, is condemned and NOV for repairs to be made within 60 days. All repairs are to be made with use of licensed contractors under Permits. Property manager on site did sign the Indemnification and had crews replacing the door frame for unit 304. Did agree to have two broken windows in Unit 303 boarded and front door secured. -VM
