| 08/03/2023 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | Roof was severely damaged due to high wind during a storm. The roof shingles were blown off and is now allowing water to enter into the interior of the property. Evidence of water leaking through light fixture that is coming from the damaged roof. The walls and ceiling have evidence of water damage and possibly behind the walls as well. I contacted the owners who have been aware of the roof damage since 7/28/23 and they have not done anything to address the repairs. I gave the owner 24 hours to send roofers to complete the repair and they sent and electrician. I have made several attempts to contact the owners and they have yet to call me back. I sent an NOV through email and regular mail as well as left voicemails at several numbers listed for the owners. No repairs have been made nor have they scheduled repairs. I condemned the unit for safety concerns due to the evidence of water leaking through the light fixtures. I cut the power to the property at the meter box and locked it using a city lock. | |
