Arrived and all the units have cleared and the Battalion Chief was on site. The fire was a content fire with a recliner burning. The area has a surge protector with extension cords and that was burned in the fire. There was a lap top that was in the recliner and that was burned in the fire. The recliner was moved to the exterior of the living room area. The main bedroom is cleaned and has space to move around. The other bedrooms have hoarding issues. Has rooms in the rear of the house and not able to walk around those rooms at this time. Has a rear door that is hard to get to in the event of an emergency of a fire. Did meet with the owners on having the area cleaned and clear paths to all doors and windows. The electrical was left on and will be able to remain in the house but will need to clean until the next inspection or can be removed. The son was on site and will be working with the parents on getting the property cleaned. The smoke detectors may have to be changed to new due to the amount of smoke from the fire. The owner signed the paperwork on site and gave a card if needs more information. Will check in 14 days. RV. | |
