06/17/2026 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial Passed On site inspection. Complaint received regarding lack of cooling within the dwelling unit. An inspection was conducted to evaluate compliance with Tucson City Code §16-11 regarding required cooling standards. At the time of the inspection, the apartment’s primary air conditioning system was not operating properly. Property management advised that a licensed HVAC contractor had been engaged to diagnose and repair the system and that a replacement part had been ordered and was pending delivery. As an interim measure, property management provided a portable cooling unit located within the tenant’s bedroom. Ambient air temperature was measured in the center of the bedroom approximately three (3) feet above the floor and recorded at 80.8°F. This temperature is below the maximum allowable indoor temperature of 82°F as required by Tucson City Code §16-11. Based on the temperature reading obtained during the inspection and the temporary cooling measures provided by property management, the dwelling unit was found to be in compliance with the applicable cooling requirements at the time of inspection. No code violations were observed. Case closed pending further complaints or changes in conditions. Case closed - resolved.
