06/27/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up Passed REVISITED SITE, CHECKED UNITS WHER OCCUPANTS WERE ACTUALLY HOME BUT COULD HERE FLOOR DRYERS IN EACH UNIT AND IN THE HALLWAYS. FIRETROL DID REPLACE THE DAMAGED SPRINLKER HEAD, TURNED ALARM SYSTEM BACK, SYSTEM IDENTIFIED A 2ND BAD SPRINKLER HEAD, IT WAS ALSO CHANGED OUT AND SYSTEM THEN TURNED BACK ON.TIRRAN RESTORATION DID CHECH WATER SATURATION, DECIDED TO REMOVE BASEBOARD AND DRILL HOLES AT THE BASE OF THE WALLS WHERE WATER DAMAGE WAS MOST PRESENT, THAT WORK WAS IN PROGRESS ANS ONLY SMALL PATCHES WOULD BE REQUIRED. C/E HAS NO FURTHER ISSUES. NOV WAS NOT REQUIRED DUE TO WORK IN PROGRESS. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE.
06/26/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial Passed VISITED SITE, MET WITH TFD FIREFIGHTERS WHO INFORMED ME OF THE LOCATION AND THEN MET WITH TFD INSPECTOR TONY SMITH WHO INFORMED ME THAT THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK WAS FROM UNIT #518. OCCUPANT INFORMED TFD THAT A PERSON WAS TRYING TO HANG SOMETHING FROM THE SPRINKLER HEAD AND BROKE THE SPRINKLER HEAD OFF. INSPECTION FOUND QUITE A BIT OF WATER IN THE UNIT, FOUND MINOR WATER DAMAGE IN THE HALL BETWEEN UNITS #518 AND #520. UNIT 520 ALSO HAD MINOR WATER DAMAGE BUT NO DAMAGE TO ELECTRIC, CEILING OR WALL DRYWALL. WE THEN INSPECTED EACH OF THE FLOORS, 1 THRU FOUR STARTING WITH FOUR AND WORKED OUR WAY DOWN. OUR INSPECTION FOUND WATER DAMAGE DIRECTLY BELOW UNIT 518 AND 520 ON EACH OF THE NEXT FOUR FLOORS, DAMAGE TO 418, 420 AND THE HALLWAY. SAME UNITS AND HALLWAY HAD SOME WATER DAMAGE ON EACH OF THE FLOORS DOWN TO 118, 120, AND HALL. MAINTANENCE MANAGER TURNED WATER OFF TO THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM AND HAD CONTACED TIRRAN WATER RESTORATION WHO WERE IN ROUTE AND HE STATED MAYBE TEN MINUTES OUT, THEY WERE SENDING 4 TRUCKS WHO WILL EXTRACT THE WATER, PLACE DEHUMIDIFIERS IN EACH UNIT AND THE HALLWAY AND FINALLY EACH UNIT WILL BE DEODERIZED. MANAGER ALSO CONTACTED FIRETROL TO REPLACE THE DAMAGED SPRINKLER HEAD, TURN THE WALTER SPRINKLER SYSTEM BACK ON AND REENERGIZE THE ALARM SYSTEM. MANAGER STATED TIRRAN RESTORATION WOULD CHECK THE WALLS AND CEILING FOR WATER SATURATION AND DETERMINE HOW TO MOVE FORWARD. MANAGER STATED HE AND A 2ND MAINTANENCE PERSON WILL REMAIN ON SITE UNTIL ALL WORK HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND WATER TURNED BACK ON, ALL OCCUPANTS WERE INFORMED THAT WATER WAS TEMPORARILY OFF, ASKED NOT TO USE APPLIANCES OR ELECTRICALL OUTLETS OR LIGHTS UNTIL WAS WAS EXTRACTED FROM THE UNITS, AND THEN MINIMIZE USE OF ELECTRICAL SO THAT OUTLETS LIGHTS AND APPLIANCE OUTLETS COULD DRY OUT OVER A 24 HR PERIOD. NOV WAS NOT REQUIRED BECAUSE OF THE WORK MAINTANECE HAD COMPLETED AHEAD OF C/E AND TFD ARRIVAL. WILL CONDUCT A 24 HOUR FOLLOW UP.
