At this time an inspection was conducted and it was observed that primary structure has sustained significant fire damage. Extensive charring of structural framing members, partial collapse of roof/ceiling assemblies, compromised exterior/interior walls, and damaged/ exposed electrical/mechanical components. The electrical system has sustained severe fire and heat damage. Conductors observed with missing/deteriorated insulation, charring and melting consistent with high heat exposure. The areas near main service panel, breakers and associated equipment have heat damage and are no longer functional. TEP has removed service from the property at the pole and removed meter. The heat compromised the plumbing and gas appliances such as the water heater, along with fittings, shut-off valves, regulators and insulation. Southwest gas disconnected and removed the meter in the easement. Roof/ceiling framing show extensive charring and heat exposure. The wood members have lost structural strength and have begun to partially collapse. Interior wall studs are burned/compromised. This has reduced load-bearing capacity. The building has lost structural reliability. Connection(nails, fasteners, anchors) are weakened by the heat. Windows/ doors are broken/missing, openings are exposed. A burned vehicle remains on the property. All that remains of a carport in the front yard is are a few charred structural members and decorative metal. There is pool that is slightly filled with stagnate green water. 2 trees on the eastside of the property are completely burned. There is a large tree in the back yard that has heat damage which caused limbs to break and fall. Excessive over grown vegetation, debris and fire-damaged materials scattered throughout property. Structure condemned. Secured by placement of lock/chain on front wrought iron gate. "Do not enter" signs have been placed on front gate and wood gate that faces easement. NOV will be mailed. |
