| 05/17/2024 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | Completed | Emergency call out from TEP for tampering. Myself and Inspector Morales responded to the call. Once on-site, TEP workers briefed us on the situation and advised us that several individuals were inside of unit "A" and unit "E". The tenants were resistant to leaving the unit, so I called TPD for assistance. Unit E was vacant, according to the neighbor in unit "F" the tenants in unit "E' were evicted several weeks prior and as far as he knew, no one was inside the unit. I could not gain entry into unit "E" and therefore considered Secure. The tenant on the lease in unit "A" was a female with no lower limbs and there were three other male individuals with her in the unit. While waiting for TPD we were able to convince the tenants to leave the unit. They moved to one of the neighbors units to wait for her family to pick her up. We condemned the unit with a DO NOT ENTER posting as well as the order to vacate. The unit was fully secured from enter when we departed the area. I contacted TPD to cancel the Officers I requested earlier. I also advised TPD that we condemned the two units and requested that they follow up to ensure the units stay vacant and to arrest any trespassers. |
