05/11/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial Completed Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a building fire. The fire was on VA Hospital property. The fire was in a shop area where fabrication is being done. They did have a spray booth in the area and was being used and possible of using laquer or staining and had rags in the area and not in water or a container. The building was a metal frame with metal siding on top for the roof and nothing on the sides. A water line was broken by the heat of the fire and the plumber came to the site to turn the water off. No sprinkler in the area and did not enter the office area that was next to the shop area. The property is US Government property and met with the engineer on site and showed what happened and left the site. They will keep the area secured and watch the area. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
05/11/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up Passed Communication called that T.F.D. requested to go back to the fire scene. Arrived and all the units were clearing the site and the fire captain for investigation was meeting with the engineers explaing the path of the fire. Where the fire started, found rags on coils for AC that have been stripped. Will keep case closed. RV.
