| 03/28/2026 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | Arrived on scene at 638 AM, where I found TFD and TPD still on scene. Per agency, fire was started in the alley, possibly in the 300 gallon trash can in alley, and spread to the detached building at the north (rear) of this property. Inspection reveals the rear detached building has been severely fire damaged. Every 2 x 4 wall structural member is fire damaged. Every roof structural member has fire damage. The exterior walls on the north, east, and west sides of the structure are completely burned and are no longer intact. The wall on the south part of the structure has fire damage. There is electrical lines on the south wall that enter the structure and there is also a waterline on the south wall that enters the structure. All electrical breakers were turned off upon my arrival. I was able to isolate power to the breaker for this structure. Found open slots into electrical panel that need to be covered. The wood picket fence on the west side of the property also has fire damage. The rear building has been deemed as unfit to occupy and has been red tagged. Notice of violation was issued and a permit is required to repair or demolish the rear building. Licensed contractor may be required. -VM |
