04/21/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial Completed Emergency call out by TFD and on site with Inspector Tidwell, TFD and management. Content fire was contained to unit 789 and originated from the bedroom closet. Items inside the closet were burned and every room in the unit was affected by smoke damage. There are electrical wires inside the closet that appear to connect to the other side of the wall that adjoins the kitchen were affected by the fire. The electric to the unit is supplied by one main source from the boiler/chiller building located to the east of building 47N. Building 47N has an electrical box and the panel is installed upside down and not labeled to indicate what breakers go to what unit as a result we have no way to determine what unit has power or not. The breaker box nor the main switch to the building has a lock to prevent flipping them on and off. We have the power turned off to the entire building. We spoke with the management and their electrical contractor to inform them of what we found and told them they need to apply for the proper permits and to replace the panel right side up and label each unit properly. The entire building is being condemned at this time.
