04/21/2023 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | Completed | Emergency call out from TFD-unit fire. On site with Inspector Tidwell, TFD and resident. Fire was contained to the kitchen area and originated from the stove. The stove is burned as well as some cabinetry connected to the stove and there is an inspection hole above the stove in the ceiling. There is an electrical outlet in the area and I could not determine if the fire affected any wiring behind the burned stove. TEP cut off the power to the unit from the outside electrical panel. The exhaust fan above the stove sustained fire damage and it has electrical wiring connected to it. There was smoke damage to the kitchen and living room area and the ceiling light in the kitchen was heat damaged by the fire. Also the inside electrical panel was missing the proper knockout plate. Made contact with the management who stated that the tenant has renters insurance and that she needs to contact them for their own inspections and determine what needs to be repaired. I advised the management and tenant to get a permit to reconnect the electricity to the unit. |
