04/04/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial Passed Communication called that the person on the line is complaining on a smell in the bathroom and not sure if coming from downstairs or from the sewer. The person was talking to T.F.D. and going over the smell. Arrived and the units have left the site and met with the tenant. The smell was in the hall bathroom and T.F.D. put the exhaust fan on to remove some of the air from the bathroom. The tenant stated that she does not use the bathroom due to she has one in bedroom where she sleeps. Did run water in the tub and shower and the sink to change the water in the trap. Did advise that she will need to run water in the tub and sink to make sure that there is water in the trap due to it will dry out and will leave a gap where the sewer gases can come through. Did ask the tenant to go into the bathroom and there was no more smell. Will let the City of Tucson housing know that was on site. At this time the case will be closed, Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
