| 04/05/2023 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | Completed | Inspector responded to complaint of water running down the sides of the walls of a cottage behind 3219 E Flower St. (3219A). Talked to Resident and observed water beads on the sides of the East and West walls of the building. Carpet appears to be damp in some areas of the house. Resident claims this has been the case since she first moved in. There is no water leak observed in the line that runs from the house to the cottage, no water leaking from the line that runs into the house, or under the sink in either the bathroom or Kitchen. No water leak noticed from the shower. inspector climb a ladder and look onto the roof and could not see any water damage on the roof or any indication of a active water leak in the roof. The cottage is small studio type setup and and the bathroom is just off the main room. Asked if the Resident showers with door open and Resident denies showering with door open and stated they shower with the window in the bathroom slightly opened. Suggested that the resident wipe down all the walls and open the doors and let the studio air out. Follow up in one week to see if issue is resolved. |
