01/31/2025 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation 749 pm - Called out to site by TPD. There is a pathway in between trash and debris from the front door that leads to a hallway where one bedroom is clear of trash and debris. The other two bedrooms off this hallway are blocked by trash and debris. The living room is full of trash, debris, storage as high as the ceiling. Unable to access the entire north half of the house, unable to determine if there is a kitchen, unable to access rear doors. Pathway is narrow and unable to easily move around the structure. Lights and other electric devices are plugged into power strips, electric cords and outlets are not visible. Resident and owner on site. Both were advised home is condemned and served copies of the EAOV. TEP and SW Gas were called and responded to disconnect utilities. Electric meter was locked off, gas meter removed and locked off. There is piles of trash and debris in the rear yard. There are dead palm tree fronds within 10 feet of rear wall and ground in the back yard. 30 Day Notice issued for those items. The trash and debris must be cleared from inside the home and reinspected by Code Enforcement to lift condemnation. Permits are required for reconnect of electric and gas. -VM
03/04/2025 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 1052 am - Reinspected w/ owner and resident on site. There is a significant reduction to the storage in the home, and trash and debris has been removed. Windows in all bedrooms are accessible, and can access front and rear doors freely in the home. Interior storage violation is abated. Palm tree fronds have been cut and removed. The piles of palm tree fronds and loose trash and debris has been removed from rear yard. Directed homeowner to apply for reconnect permits for electric and gas. Once electric is reconnected, condemnation may be lifted. -VM
