01/13/2025 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | Completed | ON SITE WITH TFD, TPD, AND SOUTHWEST GAS. THERE WAS AN EXTERIOR FIRE TO THE VACANT DOWNSTAIRS UNIT OF 8103. THE FIRE SPREAD TO THE UPSTAIRS UNIT OF 8207. THE FIRE CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE OUTSIDE STORAGE ROOM WITH THE GAS HEATER INSIDE IT. THE GAS METER HAD BEEN REMOVED FROM THE UNIT PRIOR TO THE FIRE. THE EXTERIOR WOOD FENCE WAS DAMAGED. ONE BEDROOM WINDOW WAS DESTROYED. THERE WAS A HOLE ESTIMATED AT 4X7 FROM THE BACKYARD THAT LEAD INTO THE UNIT. THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A DOOR OR WINDOW IN THAT HOLE PRIOR TO THE FIRE. THE FIRE CAUSED THE WOOD WALK WAY TO THE REAR OF THE UPPER UNIT 8207, TO HAVE SEVERE DAMAGE AND MOST OF THE EXTERIOR WALKWAY WAS DESTROYED. THERE IS WATER DAMAGE TO BOTH VACANT UNITS. THERE ARE INSPECTION HOLES ON THE INTERIOR OF BOTH UNITS. TEP HAD BEEN ON SITE PRIOR TO MY ARRIVAL. IT WAS STATED THAT THE UNITS WERE WITHOUT ELECTRICAL SERVICE PRIOR TO THE FIRE. IT WAS UNSAFE TO ENTER THE UNITS. BOTH UNITS ARE CONDEMNED. PERMITS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL REPAIRS TO THE COMMERCIAL RESIDENTIAL APARTMENTS. |
