01/08/2025 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation High winds broke the TEP electrical line located in the alley. The line hit the building and caused the roof to catch fire located nearest to the electrical wire. Commercial property had a sprinkler system which activated putting the fire out No electrical to the building was damaged. No gas lines in the area. Roof of building burned and flooring on the 2nd floor of structure located in the south east corner of the building. Owner states the area affected is not used. Issue nov any repairs to the area affected will require a permit. Contacted TEP to have meter re-installed back on the building. Met with TEP Risk Mgmt. walked site. Meter will be re-installed back on to the disconnect box.
01/15/2025 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up Completed Email response from Sabino Electric Inc. regarding the smell of smoke at the Post Office. Subject: [EXTERNAL] Re: 255 N. Rosemont Ave. Thank for the email. We have found no electrical issue. Maintenace thinks it that the heat had not been turn on until this morning. It was the dust on the heating element coming off, hence the fire alarm never picked up on it. I will send you the report next week once it is complete.
