| 01/03/2025 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | Completed | 234 pm - Arrived and found TFD on scene and Target store was evacuated. Per TFD, they were called at approximately 110 PM for smoke coming out of the HVAC vents in the Starbucks at the northwest portion of the building. TFD arrived on scene at approximately 117 PM and reported a light haze in this area upon arrival but no active smoke. TFD crews pulled down ceiling tiles and checked in the ceiling in the Starbucks area and found no fire or anything hot. Did also send a ladder on the roof and no fire or breakers tripped on the roof. TFD did check all internal breaker boxes and none tripped. Employees reported hearing a groaning noise in the ceiling yesterday and today prior to the smoke. I did check the nearest breaker panels and none were tripped. Did identify a missing breaker, needs a filler plate installed. Issued a 48 hour notice to the Target Property Manager and the Store Director on site to have HVAC system, including the internal motors, checked by a licensed HVAC company and to install a breaker filler plate. -VM | |
