Arrived and all the units have left the site and the tenants were outside the unit. There was a fire on the stove and burned the wood cabinets over the stove and drywall around the stove. 2-sprinkler heads went off and flooded the unit. Holes were made in the walls and ceiling to check for fire in the walls and ceilings and had none. There is no structural damage to the unit. The range hood was burned and removed and on the floor. There is smoke damage in the kitchen and living room area. The unit will be able to be secured once the water is taken off the floor in some areas. The tenants will be removed from the unit until the unit is check on what repairs will be required. The maintenance was on site removing the water from the unit and checking the damage. Did talk to the manager and stated that the maintenance man can sign the paperwork and was signed on site. The maintenance man will secure the unit once the sprinkler heads replaced and the system put back on line. Placed a Do Not Enter on the front window and the locks are being changed. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV. |
